Production Planner

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Production Planner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production planning, supply chain management, and experience in Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP). This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, data analysis capabilities, and effective communication to coordinate with various stakeholders and ensure optimal production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing inventory levels.
Collaborate with sales, operations, and supply chain teams to align production plans with business objectives.
Analyze production data and trends to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
Monitor production processes and adjust plans as necessary to address any disruptions or delays.
Prepare reports and presentations for management on production performance and forecasts.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all production activities.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Production Planner or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience in managing supplier relationships and negotiations.
Solid understanding of S&OP processes and methodologies.
Ability to resolve problems quickly and efficiently under pressure.
Strong assertive communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience with production planning software and tools.
Knowledge of inventory management and forecasting techniques.
Familiarity with ERP systems.
